Since 2008, our mission has been to restore a foundation of safe and caring communities by rebuilding a system of caring relationships in Harrisburg community in Augusta, Georgia. The Harrisburg area was a once viable, wholesome community supported by active textiles mills. It has become a heart-breaking example of urban blight where poverty, crime and drugs make up every day life.
36% of children in Richmond County live in poverty. One in four of those children will not learn how to read. One of the biggest contributors to ending poverty is ensuring children have an education.
