As a founding member of Good Neighbor Ministries, Gloria Norwood has driven the organization’s success. She has served in multiple leadership roles, including Board Chair, Treasurer, and head of fundraising initiatives. Known for her forward-thinking approach, which is captured in her motto, “Ideas Today, Details Later,” Gloria brings energy and vision to every project she undertakes.

A Georgia Southern University alumna, Gloria was married to the late Congressman Charlie Norwood, DDS, and has created a loving family that includes two sons and four grandchildren. Gloria owned Park Avenue Fabrics for over 20 years. She remains an active member of Saint Luke United Methodist Church, where she continues to put her faith into action through community service.

Melanie Wallace is the chair of the Good Neighbor Ministries governance committee. She has been on the board since its inception in 2007. A retired elementary school teacher from Richmond County, Melanie is a member of Trinity on the Hill Methodist Church, where she serves on the local missions’ team. She is married to Steve and has two grown children and six grandchildren.

Alison Wright is the Board Secretary for Good Neighbor Ministries and has been a Board member since 2015. She has lived in various places but is grateful for the opportunity to serve Good Neighbor Ministries in her hometown of Augusta. Her professional background includes children and youth ministry, teaching, and overseeing an after-school and summer day camp program. Alison loves running, hiking, and enjoying meals with her family and friends outside of work.
